The 18 August saw the coalition government enter its 100th day in office and this provided a PR opportunity for PIPC to provide a view on its performance from a management perspective. Viewpoints from Marc Cetkowski, head of government and public sector at PIPC appeared on the day in Public Finance and in The Guardian Public. In the Guardian piece, he concludes that The fear however is that time is running out. The first 100 days of ConDem have pushed us to the cliff edge. The second 100 days could push us over. Subsequently, a viewpoint featured in The Times on 3 September. This appeared both in the paper and online - which can be viewed with a subscription.
PIPC reacts to energy merger on Sky News Aug 2010
Following the announcement that International Power had agreed a merger deal with GDF Suez of France, DWP secured an opportunity for Ben Tye, Head of Energy at PIPC to comment on the merger live on Sky News. Ben stressed the importance of a post merger integration plan and highlighted that the new company, New International Power, will remain headquartered in the UK and listed on the London Stock Exchange - whilst shareholders will be reassured that the Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer will remain in place for the forceable future.
